"Let the prince be a prince, the minister a minister, the father a father, and the son a son." The Duke said, "How true! For indeed when the prince is not a prince, the minister not a minister, the father not a father, the son not a son, one may have a dish of millet in front of one and yet not know if one will live to eat it."

(Confucius, Confucianism, Analects 12.11)

Sri AakassDeeps Commentary:

“AUM SHANTI SHANTI SHANTI ”

At the beginning I show my respect to one God, Supreme of all Supreme. I show  my respect to all the enlightened Masters of the past. I show my respect to all the Master and Teacher of Peace, who are carrying the light of peace and dedicated their life for that. And I am showing my respect to all the heroes of the future, who will discover themselves and will become enlightened.

Perfection became the transcendental meditation for the modern world, but can anyone define perfection? Trying to define `perfect´will be imperfect. Man is after impossible things, but they don`t understand that trying to run after impossible things is childish. It is like this small story.

A husband and wife are traveling in a car,l and all of a sudden the husband starts driving very fast. The wife asks, "Where are we going?" The husband, rather than giving attention to her question, keeps on increasing the speed. The wife again asks, "Why are you increasing the speed?" Where are we going?" The husband replies, "Don`t you see that it is so wonderful? The car is moving at such a high speed! Can`t you enjoy the speed?" The wife then says, "Speed for what? Where are we going?"

The same thing has happened with us in this world. the whole world is moving faster and faster. But where are we heading? Where is the world going? They say somebody discovered America, somebody discovered gravity, but how can you discover something that has been there for billions of years.

They are trying to make a perfect society, a Utopia, where everybody will be equal in a perfect democracy. But Utopia is Utopia. It is only possible in dreams, not in reality, and the reality is that God made everything in this world in a perfect order. If you allow humans and Nature to live closely they will grow harmoniously. Nobody needs to do anything about it: everything will be in their own place.

You may see a jungle, but I see a perfect garden. Your perfect garden is a half truth. God`s garden is complete and holy, where some plants will die and some will come out from the seed. Some leaves will become yellow and drop from the trees, some leaves will come out completely green and fresh.

Man is trying to make a perfect society and has been trying to do this for the past ten thousand years, but every time the `perfection´turns into a deadly mistake, into horrifying killing and destruction. In the past 5000 years there have been 8000 great wars.

So I say, let God do it, and if God makes society then society will be in complete harmony. The prince will be in the prince`s place, the minister in the minister`s place, the father in the father`s place, and the son will be in the son`s place.

Everybody will have their own responsibility. Everybody`s work will be equally important and respectable. The prince will not be a prince merely for enjoyment and fun. He will fulfill his responsibility, like a man working everyday. A minister will be respectable, in the same way the butcher also has to be respectable. Love will combine. Somebody`s work responsibility may be higher and somebody`s work responsibility may be less, but through love they will be united and in love everybody will equal.
